Botulinum toxin (Botox) is a bacterial toxin used in reducing facial expression lines, treating teeth clenching problems, and addressing excessive sweating issues. The areas with intense facial expression lines, such as around the eyes, between the eyebrows, and on the forehead, are the most commonly treated regions. Initiating Botox treatment in these areas before the lines become prominent can prevent wrinkles from becoming noticeable.

As age advances, the skin loses its elasticity, collagen, and elastin levels decrease, resulting in dullness and the onset of sagging and wrinkles. Individuals who frequently use facial muscles and those genetically predisposed may experience wrinkles more rapidly with age. Attempts to conceal expression lines with creams or cosmetic products are not as effective as Botox applications. In some cases, lines on the forehead can even lead to a decrease in self-confidence.

In younger ages, Botox treatments may not be frequently needed as wrinkles have not yet reached noticeable dimensions. However, starting regular Botox treatments in the thirties is recommended as wrinkles become more apparent. In some cases, Botox applications are advised even at earlier ages if expression lines have begun to form. This is because Botox not only eliminates existing lines but also prevents emerging wrinkles. It helps the skin achieve a vibrant and youthful appearance.

Areas of Botox application include:

  • Forehead, between the eyebrows, around the eyes, and the bridge of the nose for facial expression lines
  • Masseter (teeth clenching) area
  • Hands, feet, and underarms for excessive sweating issues
  • Gummy smile caused by excessive gum exposure

Botox is a minimally painful and comfortable procedure for the patient. Local anesthetic creams are applied to the treatment areas before the procedure to minimize pain. Patients can usually return to their daily lives immediately after the application. However, mild swelling and redness may occur after the procedure, but these typically subside quickly. The effects of Botox start to show 48-72 hours after the application and reach their full effect in 10-15 days. Patients are usually called for a follow-up appointment at the end of this period. The duration of Botox’s effectiveness varies from person to person but typically lasts between 4-6 months.

Beautiful lips complement facial aesthetics. Over the years, due to aging, lips gradually lose their fullness, definition, and moist appearance. In some individuals, lips may structurally appear thinner. Plump and well-defined lips contribute to the overall facial appearance, providing a younger and more aesthetic look.

Lip augmentation is performed to add volume to the lips, enhance lip borders, and achieve the aesthetic ratio between the lips, nose, and chin.

When is lip augmentation performed?

  • If there is thinning and flattening of the lips due to volume loss.
  • In the presence of structural asymmetry in the lips.
  • When the lips are thin and turned inward.
  • If the lip borders are not well-defined or have lost definition over time.
  • When there is a downward sagging and a sad expression at the edges of the lips.

Before the lip augmentation procedure, anesthesia is applied either by applying anesthetic cream or through local anesthetic injections. Subsequently, the area is cleansed with antiseptic solutions. The procedure is performed using needles or blunt-tipped cannulas.

The filler application is a procedure that takes approximately 30-45 minutes, and normal daily activities can be resumed immediately after the application.

Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are preferred for lip augmentation. The duration of permanence varies from person to person but is generally around 8-15 months.

The harmony between the chin and the facial shape contributes significantly to the overall beauty of the face. Structurally, a receding chin or sagging in the chin tip and jawline during the aging process can lead to deviations from the ideal form of the chin and changes in the aesthetic proportions of the face. When the chin tip is set back more than normal, the nose and cheeks may appear more prominent. All these issues can be addressed with chin augmentation.

When is chin augmentation performed?

  • In the presence of a receding and wide appearance of the chin tip.
  • If there is asymmetry in the chin tip and a dimpled appearance.
  • When the definition of the jawline is lost.
  • In the presence of sagging in the jawline.

Chin augmentation enhances the jawline, providing a younger and more attractive appearance. The injection of filler in the chin tip creates an oval form in women and a broader form in men, giving the face a more appealing expression. Chin augmentation can correct the profile view of the face in individuals with a set-back chin.

A deep dimple in the chin tip gives a masculine appearance, which can be a concern for women. This can be completely corrected with chin augmentation. While hyaluronic acid-based fillers are most commonly used in chin augmentation, in recent years, success has also been achieved with fillers containing polycaprolactone and calcium hydroxyapatite.

During chin augmentation, anesthetic cream is applied or local anesthesia is administered with a needle to reduce pain. Then, filler injections are made into the appropriate areas of the chin using blunt-tipped needles called cannulas. This brings the set-back chin forward and refines a pointed chin tip, accentuating the jawline.

Chin augmentation is completed within approximately 15 minutes, and normal activities can be resumed immediately afterward.

The duration of permanence for the filler used in chin augmentation varies depending on the quality and type of the filler. Generally, the duration is around 1.5-2 years.

The hollows and dark circles around the eyes can make us appear older and more tired than we actually are. The circles and discoloration around the eyes result from the loss of volume and displacement of the fat pads under the eyes. Filler application can replace the volume loss in this area. This helps fill the hollows, reduce the tired expression, and diminish the dark circles. As a result, a more youthful, healthy, and refreshed facial expression is achieved.

For under-eye filler, highly fluid hyaluronic acid fillers should be used. Since hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in our bodies, it can be applied safely. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are prepared in a laboratory environment, making them sterile, and the likelihood of causing allergic reactions is low.

The filler application is a procedure that takes approximately 20-30 minutes, and with the application of local anesthetic creams beforehand, the discomfort is minimal. Normal daily activities can be resumed immediately after the procedure.

In under-eye light filling, a special needle called a cannula, which is non-sharp, is used. Under-eye filler lasts for approximately 1-1.5 years.

Nose filler is a procedure aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the nose without undergoing surgery. It is an advantage for patients who do not want to undergo surgery due to its quick application and the ability to return to daily life easily. With nose filler, the tip of the nose can be lifted, and deviations and humps on the nasal bridge can be corrected.

When is nose filler performed?

  • Depression at the root and bridge of the nose
  • Humped appearance on the nasal bridge
  • Asymmetry in the nose
  • Drooping of the nasal tip

Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are most commonly used for nose fillers. Since hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in our bodies, it can be applied safely. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are prepared in a laboratory environment, making them sterile, and the likelihood of causing allergic reactions is low. Before the nose filler procedure, anesthesia is applied by using cream or through the injection of an anesthetic substance. Then, the area to be treated is cleaned. Subsequently, the application is performed using a closed-tip cannula or a needle. The tip of the nose is lifted, and deviations on the nasal bridge are corrected.

The filler application is a procedure that takes approximately 15-20 minutes, and normal daily activities can be resumed immediately after the application. The permanence of nose filler depends on the characteristics of the filler used and individual differences. Generally, this period is around 1-1.5 years. After this period, the effect of the filler diminishes, but the same filler application can be repeated to extend the duration of the effect.

The temple area is one of the first regions where aging begins and is often a facial area that is noticed later. As the aging process unfolds, tissue loss in this area leads to a sunken appearance in the temples. Sagging may also begin to occur in the eyebrows and around the eyes.

Correcting the sunken appearance in the temples provides a more oval look to the face. Filling in the gaps in the transition between the cheeks and forehead contributes to an overall facial rejuvenation. Sagging in the upper eyelids and the outer part of the eyebrows is corrected, resulting in a slight lift in the eyebrows.

To minimize discomfort, local anesthetic creams are applied to the application area before the procedure. The application is performed using a needle or cannula method. Filler injections are administered until a sufficient volume increase is achieved in the appropriate areas, correcting the temple hollowing.

The procedure takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Swelling and bruising rarely occur and typically resolve quickly. Normal daily activities can be resumed immediately after the application. Depending on the filler used and individual characteristics, the results are typically long-lasting, persisting for around 1.5-2 years.

Cheeks play a significant role in achieving a youthful and dynamic appearance for the face. Over the years, a reduction in cheekbone size and the displacement of fat pads in the cheek area can lead to hollowing and a sunken appearance. Sunken cheeks can make the face look older and less vibrant. Cheek filler applications aim to compensate for these volume losses, lifting the face upwards and creating more defined, attractive facial features.

Before the procedure, anesthetic cream is applied to the application area to minimize discomfort. The procedure is carried out using a needle or cannula and is typically completed within 15-20 minutes. The longevity of cheek filler is generally around 1-2 years. However, the duration can vary based on the characteristics of the filler used and individual factors.

Hair mesotherapy is an effective treatment method for preventing hair loss in both men and women. By providing the necessary vitamins, minerals, and nourishing substances to the scalp of individuals experiencing hair loss, it helps prevent hair loss. Mesotherapy revitalizes hair follicles, assisting in achieving long, strong, voluminous, and healthy hair. In this method, very fine needles are used to inject the necessary substances 2-3 mm below the scalp.

Genetic predisposition, environmental factors (stress, smoking, air pollution, UV rays), hormonal disorders, nutritional and sleep irregularities, iron, and vitamin deficiencies can lead to hair breakage, shedding, lifelessness, and thinning. Mesotherapy applications increase blood circulation to the hair roots and ensure the delivery of necessary vitamins, minerals, and amino acids for nourishment. Depending on the patient’s condition, sessions are conducted on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, with a total of 4-10 sessions.

Sun damage and the loss of collagen over time combine to make the skin appear dull, pale, and tired. Face mesotherapy is a beneficial procedure that rejuvenates, nourishes, moisturizes the skin, and is effective against wrinkles and skin sagging. It is a highly effective anti-aging treatment that stimulates collagen synthesis, promoting rejuvenation, tightening, and radiance. After face mesotherapy, the skin appears fresher and brighter, with increased elasticity and reduced sagging. Wrinkles are softened, and the skin gains a radiant appearance.

In face mesotherapy, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that renew the skin, along with products containing hyaluronic acid for skin hydration, are applied to the skin with small needles. Direct application of these beneficial substances to the skin and stimulation of the skin increase collagen and elastin production, enhance skin hydration, and renew the skin. Before the procedure, the skin is cleansed and disinfected. Anesthetic cream can be applied half an hour before the treatment.

Face mesotherapy is typically administered in 4-6 sessions at intervals of 1-4 weeks. Results of face mesotherapy begin to appear after the second session. The skin rejuvenation effect continues after the completion of the treatment.

PRP, which stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma, involves the extraction of blood from the patient, separating and enriching it, and then reapplying it to address various skin imperfections.

The PRP method offers effective solutions for scar tissue, skin spots, sagging, and wrinkles. It is also effectively applied for hair loss. PRP is based on the production of skin-renewing cells using cells from the patient’s own blood. These new cells are reintroduced to the skin using fine needles.

PRP is a current and effective method among aesthetic procedures and can be applied at any age. It can be used alone or in combination with other treatments for hair loss, acne and acne scars, scar, and stretch mark treatment. Additionally, due to its skin renewal properties, it is effective in the treatment of wrinkles and sagging. Although PRP application is effective, reliable, and safe, its effects may take longer to manifest compared to other aesthetic procedures.

The main cells playing a role in PRP treatment are platelets, or thrombocytes. Platelets are responsible for repairing wounds and damage to the skin. The patient’s blood is separated through various processes, and platelet-rich plasma is enriched by concentrating these platelet cells, which are then injected into the problematic area.

When the effects of the PRP treatment begin to show, patients achieve a younger and more vibrant appearance. Since the injected plasma (PRP) is entirely derived from the patient, the risk of the procedure can be considered minimal. Mild swelling and bruising may occur in the treated area after the injection, but these usually subside within 2-3 days. PRP treatment is suitable for anyone bothered by dull-looking skin and uneven skin tone.

The PRP procedure takes about 30-40 minutes. First, a blood sample is taken from the patient and placed in special tubes. It is then separated in a centrifuge device to obtain platelet-rich plasma. In the final step, the obtained plasma is injected back into the area where the patient needs it. Patients can return to their daily lives immediately after the procedure. However, for the treatment to be effective, it is recommended to repeat the sessions regularly, with a minimum of 4-6 sessions.

As age progresses, the weakening of the supporting structures in the face, along with volume losses in fat pads, leads to sagging in the face. While these sagging issues can be addressed with fillers in the early stages, thread lift procedures can be employed in more advanced stages.

What are the goals of the thread lift procedure?

  • Correction of sagging in the cheek area.
  • Reduction of wrinkles around the nose.
  • Correction of sagging in the corners of the lips and along the jawline.

After the thread lift procedure is completed, the patient can return to their daily life immediately. Only slight swelling or bruising may be observed after the procedure, and these side effects typically disappear within 2-4 days.

Post-procedure considerations:

  • Avoid lying face down until complete healing is achieved.
  • Refrain from excessive facial expressions for approximately 1 month.
  • Protect the treated area from the sun as much as possible for 1 month, avoid intense sports activities, and refrain from activities such as massage and sauna.
  • Brow lifting procedure can be performed.

The advantages of the procedure include the quick application and immediate return to daily life after the procedure. Depending on the type of thread material used, the longevity of the procedure can vary between 1-3 years. Even after the effects of the threads diminish, they promote collagen production through a bio-stimulation effect, enhancing the skin’s quality, vitality, and radiance. The procedure is performed with minimal pain, thanks to local anesthetic creams and injection-based anesthetic applications.
